Introducing Geniebook’s AI

Imagine the perfect teacher - a mentor in charge of a class of 40 students who knows each student’s learning strengths and weaknesses, personalities, and behaviours intimately, and is able to effectively customise interventions that best help the students to learn. In reality, teachers only possess a limited ability to personalise learning for their students due to limitations in human memory and innate biases.

Now, imagine that this perfect teacher exists with superhuman abilities at its disposal - an AI that remembers every student interaction in Geniebook, takes into account their individual learning behaviours and level of mastery for every relevant subject and topic, without any emotional biases to cloud their judgement. How can Geniebook’s AI benefit me?

Remembers every mistake your child makes. With dozens of assignments a week, it’s hard to keep track of where your child did well or poorly. Geniebook does the job for you by making a record of all the mistakes they have ever made and testing their understanding in its biweekly revision worksheets.

Picks the best questions from our database of 300,000 questions. Worried that your child has weak foundations? Strong in Chemical Bonding but weak in the Mole Concept? Our AI evaluates their proficiency in each topic, simulates thousands of question sets behind the scenes, and then only picks the questions that best help your child improve and learn.

Chooses the topics for you. Unsure what your child should practise this week? Unfamiliar with their syllabus? With the “recommend topics for me” feature under Customised Worksheets, our AI will select the topics and questions for you, all in just a click of a button.

How does the AI Recommender work?

Step 1: Geniebook’s AI Recommender gets to work as soon as your child starts using Geniebook. As your child learns and studies with us, the AI dives deep into their past academic history to learn all about them. By knowing your child’s learning habits, it forms a picture in its mind of their abilities and interests.

Step 2: The AI recalls its entire history of assisting students and shortlists those with academic profiles similar to your child’s.

Step 3: Now that it’s remembered the circumstances that contributed to other students’ success, the AI simulates thousands of questions in our system to determine the most effective set of questions that allows your child to achieve similar success.

Step 4: The AI then condenses them into a highly personalised set before assigning them to your child in the GenieSmart worksheets.

How will this impact my child?

While the steps in which you create and assign worksheets are the same, you might notice differences in the questions displayed. The AI Recommender works behind the scenes to recommend a personalised set of questions catered to your child’s proficiency level, one that best helps your child to witness score improvements.

How can I track my child's score improvements?

You can track your child’s progress on the Progress page. Here, you will see total skill level as well as skill level by topic. The higher the skill level, the more proficient your child is in the subject or topic, which in turn means they will receive a higher proportion of difficult questions to further challenge their learning.
